February/March Hodgepodge!

Somehow these got all mixed up! Scroll down, enjoy, and remember that they are very much NOT in order!!
Audrey and friend at the History festival at school.
Audrey's science project on gravity. Here she was testing if angles and distance effect speed. We tested 10 times each at different angles and different distances. Took the average and made a conclusion
The marbles kept rolling off so we had to put up a board
The second part of the experiment was dropping paired objects from a height of 8 feet and seeing which would fall faster then dropping them individually and timing them.
Audrey got to look up Galileo and his scientific and mathematica theories.
Some good friends invited us over to celebrate Texas Independence Day complete with amazing food (chili, salad with cilantro lime dressing, texas sheet cake, texas shaped sugar cookies, jalapeño poppers, Dr. Pepper and I know not what.)
The science teacher gave a demonstration at the science fair. She started the flames across the pipe and then put music up to it. The flames danced to the music and showed sound waves.
It's been cold. It's been not Texas weather cold.
 Snow Angels
Slides with snow are so much faster. Audrey incorporated this concept into her science fair presentation when it got canceled the first time because of weather.
 Teenagers do selfies
Sliding down the icy driveway.
On a particularly cold day we went to the mall to get mom a new phone which she now loves maybe more then life itself. Dad treated us to Fuddruckers and Audrey got a new white shirt.

Because 4 year olds are cute.

Although I can't find the pics Sadie did exploding mentos for her science experiment (on the week that we had Tristan and Summer and the weekend we had the 3 extra Snow kids....so many kids) Abby was a little sad she didn't get to do an experiment so Eliora came up with one for her, organized it, and then in the afternoon they made brownies to celebrate Audrey and Sadie's good work at their school science fair.
Abby's experiment. Does colored water change the color of a white rose?? I'm starting to see blue on those edges!
Eliora and Abby with their experiment.
 Earrings...check, necklace....check, cute hair.....check, cute clothes....check, Now I just need a smile!
Ahh, back to the History Festival. Audrey was Penelope from The Odyssey. Dad had read it out to them at night this month so she actually knew the whole story. For her sellable item she did hand crochet bracelet cuffs and wrapped and fastened with a button. They were adorable and sold out.
More decorations. Mom braved icy roads to help teachers set up!
The science display. Gravity and it's Nemeses
The Science Display. Mentor and Diet Coke
Eloisa ran into a friend from church which probably made the night a little less boring for her although she is always a trooper.
 And the winner is......
Audrey got first place!! She beat out the kid with the robot and the kid with the hover craft. So proud of this kid and her amazing grasp of science. Sadie won an Excellence award. She is so cute and bubble when presenting to the judges. Both of them did an amazing job!
